The Piedmontese coast of Lake Maggiore is characterized by a succession of exclusive private residences and villas dating back to the nineteenth century. Interior designer Alessandra Colombo oversaw the renovation of the bathrooms of a villa with particular characteristics, dating back to the early twentieth century, as can be seen from the composition of the facade, the architectural details and the materials used.

In the context of the bathroom renovation, the interior designer and the owners of the villa decided to turn towards a very modern and contemporary style, both in the use of materials and in the choice of furnishings, a contrasting choice not disturbing the classic context, but rather enriching it. For the taps in particular, they were looking for a high-impact solution that could play the starring role in the environment, combined with high-tech materials for countertops and surfaces and corten.

The AISI 316L stainless steel of Fir Italia's Green Total Look taps was considered the ideal material for its extreme resistance and ease of cleaning. In the first bathroom in particular, a recessed washbasin was chosen, which completely disappears inside the countertop, and to which was matched a washbasin mixer from the PlaySteel 58 collection, with an ultra-minimalist design characterised by a lever very close to the spout. The stainless steel bathroom accessories with Corian® shelves are also of the same design as the taps.

In the second bathroom, a wall-mounted solution of model LifeSteel 59 with cylindrical lever positioned next to the spout was adopted for the washbasin mixer. The cover plate constitutes an element of modernity able to enrich the design concept.

As for the shower space, the customers had requested a space where they could relax, spend time privately and escape from everyday life. For this reason, the shower was equipped with a multifunctional shower head with three different jets: a rain jet, a very relaxing cascade jet, massaging at back level and a very refreshing and pleasant nebulisator jet.

In accordance with the design guidelines, different materials were also Xed for the outdoor kitchen, combining different types of solutions for the countertop, the cabinet, the sink. Once again, Fir Italia's Green Total Look taps in AISI 316L stainless steel proved to be the ideal solution, given their outdoor use. The sink mixer from the KitchenSteel collection was chosen for its extreme practicality of use thanks to the swivel spout allowing the water jet to be directed to any point on the sink.
