The hotel

The hotel

Hotel Grande Bretagne is located in one of the most striking positions in the center of Athens, the oldest capital of Europe, full of extraordinary sights able to capture the spirit and amaze any visitor.

Located on the corner of the impressive Syntagma Square, the hotel has 320 rooms and suites and offers uninterrupted views of the Acropolis, while the ritual of the changing of the guard in front of the Parliament building occurs practically on its doorstep. This 5-star hotel, awarded many times, is also just a short walk from the exclusive shopping areas, museums and the business district.

Customer’s requirements

The hotel décor concept included taps of high quality and in classic style, to be included in the luxurious Classic Rooms, Deluxe Rooms, Junior Suites, Deluxe Suites, Grand Suites, Grand Deluxe Suites and Executive Grand Suites. Each room and suite was characterized by a charming old-style elegance, made unique and personalized with sumptuous fabrics, original artworks and restored antiques items from Christie's and Sotheby's. In this context, the taps had to be in tune with the beautiful marble surfaces of the bathrooms, characterized by spacious wash basin areas, both a large bathtub and a separate shower area.

Melrose 20

The Melrose 20 three-hole wash basin mixers have been installed on marble tops that foresaw two completely built-in ceramic washbasins. The chosen finishing, Chrome & Gold, has a chrome base embellished with gold details on the body and on the tap handles; a feature allowing us to obtain a perfect combination with golden wall-mounted lights positioned on the wall next to the mirrors and with various other elements recurring both in the bathroom and in the suite.

The product choice

In the bathtub area, also made of marble, wall-mounted bath mixers have been installed, always in Chrome & Gold finishing, complete with a bell-shaped hand shower in retro style, with a white ceramic grip so as to match with the handle plugs.

A built-in shower mixer was instead chosen for the functioning of the wall-mounted shower head in the shower area, or alternatively, in some suites, a configuration that contemplated a wall-mounted shower-head, a separate hand-shower and a built-in two-way mixer.

Practical and stylish stem towel holders and circular towel holders always in classic style complete the supply for the grand hotel.
