The project
In a setting nestled in the UNESCO heritage hills, the need arose for the new construction of a house that would be welcoming, bright and characterized by numerous and diverse spaces, designed to accommodate a family of four.
The project, which was carried out by the Due Linee Architettura studio, had to comply with numerous constraints, first and foremost recreating a Piedmontese farmhouse-style appearance, following the ITACA protocol and thus characterizing the house with high energy and environmental performance. Aspects that could have been conflicting with each other, but instead merged to become strengths.
Behind a typical, rural exterior lies a secret of modernity and innovation: a prefabricated wooden structure perfectly combined with concrete structures to achieve eco-sustainable solutions in compliance with the energy protocol.
The need was to create both private and convivial environments, creating intimate interior spaces with a contemporary feel, but combined with open spaces to the outdoors and the surrounding hills.

The bathroom
The bathroom has been designed divided in two different areas; a mezzanine wall, completely covered in dark-toned marble-effect porcelain stoneware, separates the washbasin area from the rest of the bathroom.
The geometry chosen for the taps and mixers is the cylindrical one of the Cleo 84 collection by Fir Italia, declined in a mixer with side control installed on the washbasin top.

Towards the back of the wall is the bidet/wc area, with wall-hung sanitary ware, while in front of it there is a large central bathtub combined with a floor-mounted bathtub mixer with hand shower.

Cleo 84 in Trendy Copper
The finishing chosen for the taps is Trendy Copper, a special execution that recalls copper in its most natural version. The bright tone of the metal winningly contrasts with the colours of the marble-effect porcelain stoneware, which are more subdued on the wall adjacent to the bathtub.
In the context of the project, it can be appreciated how the chosen finishing echoes various elements of the bathroom, not only the taps but also the toilet plate and the siphons, for a complete concept that enhances the modern atmosphere and the minimalist choices of the designers.
