The project
The essential cylindrical lines of the Cleo 84 collection taps are the perfect interpretation of the renovation of a house in the heart of the Lombard metropolis. We are in Milan, where the Interni19 studio is responsible for the renovation and interior design project of a house that had already undergone a significant change in the 1960s, with all the ceilings being lowered.
Discovering the potential and beauty of these heights, the architects decided to bring them back to life and restore them to their original state: they achieved this by recovering an existing ceiling rosette above the island of the new kitchen and creating new decorative frames for aesthetic completion.

Client’s requests
A preliminary analysis allowed the architects to identify the client's needs. They requested an additional bathroom and a combined living room and kitchen area, whilst optimizing the storage space and maintaining attention to detail in the aesthetics. With this purpose, an equipped wall with an arched bookcase and a vintage fireplace, a wall dedicated to a gallery of decorative frames and a strong character kitchen were designed for the living area. As for the bathrooms, the client desired an interior design with neutral tones and elegant lines, focusing a lot on the choice of taps with finishings recalling metals.
The outcome was exciting and pragmatic, as the team aimed to achieve the perfect balance between practicality and aesthetic appeal. The renovation work included the replacement of all the installations, the screed and the floors, as well as the removal of the existing false ceilings in the living area, restoring the original heights of the flat.
The colour Xion happened spontaneously, with the purpose of creating warm, bright, and decorative environments. Neutral shades such as oak parquet found space throughout the house, as did sand tones in the bathrooms. It was all, however, combined with bold colours such as the intense blue of the kitchen and the yellow chinoiserie wallpaper in the master bedroom. At the same time, white was considered a necessary contrasting element to highlight the classic frames on the walls and ceilings.

The Choice of taps: Cleo 84 in Gentle Copper and Matt Majestic Gold
The architects incorporated Fir Italia Cleo 84 taps with their timeless cylindrical style in the two bathroom areas. The Gentle Copper finishing was chosen for the first bathroom, which recalls the colour of copper with a modern hue and features the wall-mounted washbasin mixer with separate control lever combined with a bowl; the bathroom is completed by a bidet mixer and a shower configuration with a wall-mounted shower head, a hand shower and a built-in shower mixer with diverter.
In the second bathroom, a wall-mounted wash basin mixer with separate control lever was also Xed for the wash basin countertop integrated in the cabinet. For the shower/bath area, a configuration with three outlets was chosen. This configuration consisted of a FirUnico universal built-in system controlling a wall-mounted showerhead, a hand shower and a wall-mounted water spout. In this case, the chosen Matt Majestic Gold finishing is that of the most precious metal: gold.

Kitchen: practicality of stainless steel
As for the sink mixer, the KitchenSteel model in AISI 316/L stainless steel was chosen: material suitable for its practicality and durability over time; the sink was in the version with a retractable hand shower, convenient for bringing water to both basins.
